Honey Orange Glazed Turkey

Recetas con sabor #BeHoney 💛 Hoy os traemos una de las recetas más tradicionales de la Navidad por su sencillez y su inconfundible sabor: Pavo glaseado con miel y naranja.

Ingredients you will need:

  • 1 turkey
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 120 ml chicken broth
  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1 tablespoon thyme
  • 2 tablespoons rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon of black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 480 ml of natural orange juice
  • 60 ml unsweetened orange marmalade
  • 2 cucharadas de miel cruda BeHoney de Lavanda

Making the Honey Orange Glazed Turkey:

  1. Preheat the oven to 160ºC
  2. Peel the onion and cut it into small pieces. Do the same with the lemon and fill the turkey with these ingredients (with the turkey previously cleaned inside and out), starting from the neck and ending with the thighs. Cover it with the butter and when finished cover it with the aluminum foil. Put it in the oven between 3 and a half to 4 hours.
  3. We prepare the glaze while the turkey is baking. Add all the ingredients in a small saucepan and put it on the fire. When it comes to a boil, lower the heat and cook for 10 minutes. Remove and let rest to thicken.
  4. An hour before the turkey is ready, remove the foil and cover with some of the glaze. Bake for 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it rest.
  5. Add 1/2 cup of the broth from the turkey and mix with the remaining glaze. Heat without boiling. And now you have the sauce ready to accompany your glazed turkey!
